Privacy Statement
CLE Affiliates has created this privacy statement in order to
demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our
information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: http://cleaffiliate.com.
Your privacy is a very sensitive subject for us and we take it very seriously. So our privacy policy is
simple:
- We don't sell, barter, give away or rent your personal information to any company outside of
CLE Affiliate.
- All of your information - contact lens prescriptions, credit card numbers, buying
preferences or any other personal information will remain private. CLE Affiliate will
not distribute, sell, trade, or give away this information to any third party. You can be
assured that we respect your privacy, and appreciate the opportunity to do business
with you.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information a Web server sends to your
Web browser when you look at a Web page. A cookie file is the
place on your computer's hard disk drive where the browser stores
the cookies. Cookies can give you personal greetings when you
return to a Web site and you can save your passwords, purchases,
and preferences. But they can also be used to track your Web
use, tell a Web site your name, and perform functions without you
knowing it. Most major Web sites use cookies, though how they
use them varies.
How can I turn all cookies off?
That depends on the browser you're using:
Internet Explorer
1.Go to the Tools menu, then to Internet Options, then to
Advanced.
2.Click the Security tab, then the Internet icon.
3.Click the Custom Level box.
4.Under Cookies, click either Disable or Prompt. (Prompt
requires you to click yes or no every time a Web site wants
you to accept a cookie.)
Netscape
1.Go to the Edit menu.
2.Click on Preferences, then click on Advanced.
3.Select to either disable all cookies or to receive warning
before cookies are accepted.
Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
All transactions are completed on our secure server. In secure mode, your computer and our server
begin communicating, sending data back and forth in an encrypted format. The encryption features
of browser software are exceptionally powerful and ensure the security of this data as it is
transmitted to our server.
A browser in secure mode will display a URL address beginning "https://" rather than the standard
"http://". The "s" stands for "secure." In Netscape NavigatorTM (versions 3.0 and earlier), the
broken key symbol in the lower left corner of your browser window will become a solid key in secure
mode. If you're using Netscape Communicator 4.0TM or higher, look for the padlock in the same
space: it's open in standard mode and closed in secure mode. In Microsoft Internet ExplorerTM, you'll
see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser window when the browser is in secure mode.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’
information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job
(for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use
password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information.
Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our
employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected.
Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked cage.
IP Address
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server,
and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your shopping cart, and to reduce credit card fraud.
